Kourtney Mary Kardashian is an American media personality, socialite, model, businesswoman, and actress. She is best known for appearing on the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami, and Kourtney and Kim Take New York.

Kardashian was born on April 18, 1979, in Los Angeles, California. She is the eldest of four children of Kris Jenner (née Houghton) and Robert Kardashian, with siblings Kim, Khloé, and Rob. In 1991, her parents divorced and her mother married Bruce Jenner, the 1976 Summer Olympics decathlon winner (in 2015, Jenner changed her name to Caitlyn), later that year. Through her marriage, Kardashian gained stepbrothers Burton “Burt”, Brandon, and Brody; stepsister Casey; and later half-sisters Kendall and Kylie. Kardashian attended Marymount High School, a Roman Catholic all-girls school in Los Angeles.

After graduating from high school, Kardashian attended the University of Arizona, where she studied theater arts. She transferred to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she graduated with a degree in merchandising.

In 2007, Kardashian and her family began starring in the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The show has been a huge success, and has made Kardashian and her family one of the most famous families in the world. In 2021, Kardashian began dating Travis Barker, the drummer for the band Blink-182. The couple got engaged in October 2021 and married in May 2022.
